Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
MFA is required on all company accounts when accessing key services. This includes any cloud based systems such as email, Teams and Onedrive. Due to this it is important that you have a working MFA method setup.
The recommended method of activating MFA is using the Microsoft Authenticator app available for Android and iPhone. If you have been issued a company mobile this will have been setup on your device as part of your onboarding.
If you are having trouble with your MFA setup, and are unable to reset it or activate, please contact IT at helpdesk@adiltd.co.uk
If your MFA needs to be setup, or resetup having been cleared by IT, please follow the below steps to do so:
- From the 'More information required' screen, click 'Next
'
- Check that your device has the Microsoft Authenticator app installed - if it does not download it from the Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.azure.authenticator
- Once the app is installed, return to the setup workflow and click 'Next', then 'Next' again
- You should now see a QR code displayed
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app and tap the + icon in the top right
- Select 'Work or school account', then 'Scan a QR code'
- If needed on your device, Allow permission to take pictures and record video
- Hold up your device and scan the QR code on your screen
- Once scanned click ‘Next’ in the workflow, the Authenticator app will automatically finish and return you to the app
- Click ‘Next’ again in the workflow which will display a number on screen, and open a notification on your device
- Enter the number on screen into the notification on the device and tap 'Yes'
- You will be signed in
